The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust celebrating their 25th anniversary and set a challenge to their supporters. The challenge was to do a fundraising activity with £25 provided by the Trust with the aim to turn it into £250, hence the name 25 to 250 challenge.
Our director doesn’t back down from a challenge so signed Tezelec up and draw up the idea to host a raffle with the chance to win a smart bundle that would normally retail at over £100 and this included an Amazon Alexa Dot complete with 4 Crompton Smart LED lamps of the winners choice.
A Just Giving page was setup and customers were given the opportunity to buy over the trade counter. With three days to go the takings tallied up to £300 but we pushed forth and got to a total of £455 by the end! Many thanks to everyone who entered and help us raise money for this amazing charity.
In true Terry style, he spoke to Jason at EPS Hire Centres who kindly donated a cement mixer to help Pam Thornes from LCYCT pick the winning ticket. Watch who the lucky winner was won in the video below:
A little about the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust
The trust supports young people with cancer through targeted cancer research and support projects to help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Money raised supports 13 – 24-year-olds fighting cancer by funding medical and social research specifically into cancers that affect that age group.
They also provide support mechanisms to improve their quality of life and time spent on hospital wards and after treatment.
The support is offered to 43 hospitals throughout the UK that treat teenage cancer. To learn more, click here
